In an ambitious new initiative at the age of 82, entrepreneur Farokh R. Messman, previously known as the owner of Theobroma bakery brand, is setting his sights on the art world. Messman is organizing a unique exhibition titled 'Inspired by the Masters', set to open at Kaladalan Gallery in Mumbai's P.L. Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy.

The exhibition, which runs from June 5th to 11th, 2026, will feature between 50 to 60 paintings by talented Indian artists. These works are tributes to some of the world's most lauded art traditions and iconic painters like Picasso, M.F. Husain, and Monet. Messman's exhibition aims to celebrate these artistic styles while making art emotionally and financially accessible to a broader audience.

Aside from showcasing art, the exhibition seeks to amplify voices of talented yet underrepresented artists. The artworks will be affordably priced and come with an innovative resale assurance—buyers will be given options to resell their paintings at a price twice the original value, or receive a full refund, backed by a bank guarantee, after five years. This initiative reflects Messman's commitment to fostering a deeper appreciation of art.
