Paving the Path: SRM University-AP Partners with Japan's Technosmile for Global Internships

The partnership aims to prepare students for global careers, addressing Japan's workforce challenges by integrating skilled talent into its tech sectors.

SRM University-AP in Maharashtra has entered into a significant agreement with Japan's Technosmile, focused on enabling international internships for students. This strategic partnership, marked by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aids students in acquiring technical skills, language proficiency, and global employment opportunities in Japan.

The MoU signing took place at the university campus, where key officials from both institutions were present. The agreement sanctions a solid framework for SRM students to gain firsthand experience in international corporate environments, thereby addressing Japan's need for skilled workers amid its demographic challenges.

Technosmile's Executive Vice President, Watanabe, praised SRM University-AP for its excellence in engineering education. The university's 'Destination Japan' program will further prepare students by immersing them in Japanese culture and work ethics—an initiative that has already seen success with over 100 students placed in Japan since 2024.
