Spray Engineering Devices Lands Repeat Order for Gujarat Refinery Expansion
Spray Engineering Devices Limited secures a repeat order from Shri Dutt India for refinery expansion in Gujarat. Following a successful modernization project, SED will enhance Kandla refinery capacity to 3,500 TPD while optimizing steam usage. The project will utilize advanced technologies to support energy efficiency and process improvements.
Spray Engineering Devices Limited (SED), following its successful modernization effort, has received a repeat order from Shri Dutt India Private Limited (SDIPL) to expand and optimize their refinery at Kandla, Gujarat. The project will see the refinery's capacity increase to 3,500 tonnes per day (TPD) while enhancing steam efficiency.
Previously, SED's advanced Mechanical Vapour Recompression (MVR)-based crystallization system elevated the refinery's output from 1,000 TPD to 2,400 TPD while halving per-tonne steam use. SED's task is to further boost capacity with minimal infrastructure additions by deploying new pans within the existing MVR system and installing a new Falling Film Evaporator (FFE).
This project, to be completed within an operational environment within two months, highlights SED's strategy of sustainable growth through process innovation. Vivek Verma of SED remarked on the benefits of intelligent process integration, with Jeetendra Dharu of SDIPL expressing confidence from prior successful collaborations.
