Haleon, a leading consumer health company, has unveiled plans for its inaugural manufacturing facility in India, marking a significant investment in the country’s consumer health sector. This state-of-the-art greenfield site will be located at Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. Spread over 40 acres in the Smart Industrial Park, this facility underscores Haleon's long-standing commitment to India as a strategic growth market.
Strategically focused on oral health, the Madhya Pradesh facility is set to back India's 'Make in India' vision, aiming to increase domestic supply and exports to wider Asian markets. The investment, highlighted by a ₹2,000 crore initiative, is anticipated to generate vast economic benefits, enhance supply chain resilience, and create around 500 jobs, putting a spotlight on skill development and inclusivity with a 30% target workforce of women.
The announcement was made with key officials, including Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Brian McNamara, Haleon's CEO, expressed confidence in India's market, stating the investment fortifies their local manufacturing footprint, expanding consumer access to Haleon's trusted brands. With its operational launch set for 2029-30, this facility is poised to serve the burgeoning demand for health products across India and international markets.
