Amazon India's two-wheeler store on Amazon.in has experienced a remarkable doubling of its growth year-on-year, with significant contributions from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. This trend sees consumers increasingly opting for premium and electric bikes alongside traditional commuter models, as highlighted in a statement from Amazon.in.

Aman Lohan, Director at Amazon India, noted that purchasing a two-wheeler in India involves navigating numerous options, from fuel types to varying price points. "The process demands transparency and convenience, which our platform provides by bringing together an extensive selection of brands, models, and transparent pricing, all in one place," he elaborated.

The shift toward higher-spec models is evident, with premium motorcycles experiencing a nearly 5-fold increase and electric two-wheelers prompting significant market interest. Notably, cities like Kakinada and Tirupati in the South and emerging demand hubs in the East are driving this digital shopping transition, with over 2,300 Tier 3 towns seeing a first-time online two-wheeler purchase through Amazon.in in the last year.
