Rwanda: Bank of Kigali introduces Digital Migration Agents

Bank of Kigali has taken a new step by introducing Digital Migration Agents in all its branches across Rwanda. With these steps, the clients will be enabled to migrate to digital channels, such as the application and internet banking, among others.

Bank of Kigali is set to roll out a Digital Transformation Roadmap to deliver new products and experiences mainly to underserved segments of the economy and key population demographics like the youth and the unbanked.

The digital platforms and services include driving uptake of debit and credit cards, use of our mobile applications, internet banking platforms among other digital platforms. Service delivery will also be improved to reduce queues at the branches.

Decentralization of the migratory services has been done to all branches for clients' convenience, the Chief Commercial Officer of Bank of Kigali, Vincent Gatete said. On the other hand, Bank of Kigali has also introduced Digital Migration Agents in all branches to enable clients to migrate to digital channels, such as application and internet banking, among others, as reported by The New Times.

The bank is one of four subsidiaries of BK Group, which recorded an after-tax profit of Rwf27.4billion (about USD 30.7 million) in 2018, representing a 17 percent growth from the previous year.
