Jet Airways top executive Gaurang Shetty quits airlines board of directors

According to a statement by the airline on Thursday, Gaurang Shetty, Jet Airways Ltd's top executive has resigned from airline’s board of directors. Shetty was considered close aid to the founder Naresh Goyal.

Gaurang Shetty Joined Jet Airways in the year 1996 as general manager (Marketing). After joining the airlines Shetty held various position vice-president (marketing), senior vice president (commercial) and acting chief executive.

Jet Airways said in a statement to the stock exchange that it had sought independent legal opinion on the matter and accepted the resignation.
