Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) Monday said the second generation of its compact sedan Amaze has crossed one lakh sales milestone within 13 months of launch. The company has also introduced a special edition of the model, Ace Edition, priced between Rs 7.89 lakh and Rs 9.72 lakh to commemorate crossing the sales milestone.

The limited edition is based on top grade VX in both diesel and petrol with manual as well as automatic transmission options. The second generation Honda Amaze has been a game changer for HCIL achieving over one lakh sales in 13 months, the fastest recorded by any new model launched by the company in India, HCIL Senior Vice President and Director, Marketing and Sales, Rajesh Goel said in a statement.

Tata Motors to supply 25 Tigor EV to Janani Tours

* Tata Motors Monday said it will supply 25 units of electric version of its compact sedan Tigor to tour operator Janani Tours for deployment in Bengaluru. Through its partnership with Tata Motors, Janani Tours will begin its e-mobility journey to service its corporate clients and fleet customers, the company said in a statement.

"We are confident that Tigor EV will address the growing demand of the city to travel in electric vehicles," Tata Motors President- Electric Mobility Business and Corporate Strategy Shailesh Chandra said. Janani Group of Companies CEO Ram Ramakrishnan said the partnership will offer eco-friendly mobility solutions to customers and commitment to society.

"We believe inherent benefits of zero emission and lower operating costs of EVs will be the ultimate game-changer for commuting in the city. We see a positive response from our clients to reach 1,000-plus vehicles in the next 6-9 months under the brand JenNext," he added.
