Hitech Saw launches 60,000 mtpa steel pipes plant in Guj

Hitech Saw Pvt Ltd Tuesday inaugurated the new manufacturing facility for spiral saw steel pipes (H-SAW pipes) at Sanand town near Ahmedabad. The installed capacity of the plant is 60,000 mt per annum. The plant will generate direct and indirect employment for 200 individuals, the release said.

IDBI Bank to sell Tata AIG Gen Insurance products

LIC-owned IDBI Bank Tuesday said it has entered into a bancassurance corporate agency agreement with Tata AIG General Insurance to provide latter's products to its two crore customers, through over 1,850 bank branches. "We are looking forward to this strategic partnership to strengthen the product proposition for our customers and offer them one-stop access to an array of general insurance products," IDBI Bank managing director and CEO Rakesh Sharma said.

Flipkart introduces special benefits for employees

E-commerce player Flipkart Tuesday said it has introduced an inclusive benefits programme for its employees that aims to provide them with the freedom to choose benefits based on their individual needs, including both insurance and non- insurance options. The Walmart-owned company said the initiative was based on a survey that found that around 50 per cent of its employees chooses benefits and policies as an important attraction and retention driver.

Qauntum Asset Management Company Tuesday launches an open-ended ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) fund Quantum India ESG Equity Fund. The fund will invest in a basket of stocks with a good environment, social and governance standards and the focus will be to identify businesses where sustainable practices drive long term performance, an official statement said.
