A three days long Indian Pharma Expo 2019 was inaugurated today by Dr. Monica Sood Bhatia, Managing Director, CIMS Medica, Mr. DC Sahu, Deputy Director, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), the Government of India and Mr. Karun Kumar, Assistant Director, MSME at Pragati Maidan.

CIMS Medica organized the 0020' Indian Pharma Expo-2019' at Hall No. 12A of Pragati Maidan on Tuesday. In this expo, 150 small pharmaceutical companies from all over the country are participating. During the expo, the participants are displaying their new and modern medical products. In the Expo, officials of different departments, including the Ministry of Health of the Government of India, are also participating and are examining medicines and innovative medical products. Apart from this, a large number of students from Pharma Courses also participated in the Expo.

During the event, Dr. Monica Sood Bhatia, Managing Director, CIMS Medica said that “this is the eighth edition of the Indian Pharma Expo. Every year, it is becoming grander by the year after year. Through this expo, we have created a platform for these pharma companies, so that they can share their views on the superior quality of medicines and understand the continuous development in this area. As the government of India is working towards reducing the medical expenses, the pharma companies are also working on producing generic drugs. On Wednesday, Business Excellence Award will be presented to companies that have made outstanding contributions to the pharma sector.

On this occasion, Mr. DC Sahu, Deputy Director, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) said: “The pharmaceutical industry in India is rapidly developing and expanding. The Government of India is also paying full attention to the fact that the expenses of the medical sector should be reduced as much as possible. For this, there is a special emphasis on generic medicines.”
