Nickel rose by Rs 2 to Rs 990 per kg from Thursday's closing level of Rs 988.

Copper cable scrap and copper billets moved up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 465 and Rs 493, respectively.

However, brass utensils scrap and lead softened by a rupee per kg each to Rs 342 and Rs 166, respectively.
