Tamil Nadu Guv appoints Tamil University VC

Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit Saturday appointed G Balasubramanian as Vice-Chancellor of Tamil University, Thanjavur, for a three-year period.

Purohit is also the Chancellor of the university. Balasubramanian has vast experience in teaching, having served in various senior academic positions as dean and head of the department, a press release from Raj Bhavan said.

He is Pro Vice-Chancellor of Dravidian University and has published 22 research papers at the national and international level and has authored four books, it said.
