Germany's finance policy to be more restrictive in 2024 - minister

Germany's finance policy will be more restrictive next year in light of last week's constitutional court decision banning the government from re-allocating unused debt for climate and industry programs, Finance Minister Christian Lindner said.

Speaking at a Berlin event, Lindner said the government was still pursuing a moderately restrictive financial policy in response to high inflation.
