A total of 568 classrooms to cater for 220,000 students will be built in the province of Angola’s Huambo in the next year as part of the Government's efforts to meet the school explosion and put an end to schools in improper places.

The announcement was made on December 12 to the new agency by the local director of the Office of Education, Science and Technology, Manuel Sampaio do Amaral, who said that these rooms account for 194 schools of general education.

From these schools to be built in the 11 municipalities of the province, according to the person in charge, 152 will have seven classrooms each, and 42 will each have 12 rooms, emphasizing that they will be used in two periods, thus making a total of 3,136 new classes.

With inputs from agency.
