Supreme Court Seeks NTA's Response on NEET-UG 2024 Paper Leak Allegations

The Supreme Court on Tuesday sought the National Testing Agency's response to a plea seeking fresh conduct of the NEET-UG 2024 medical entrance exam, citing alleged question paper leaks and other malpractices.
A vacation bench comprising Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah declined to stay the counselling of candidates who succeeded in the examination.
The NEET-UG, which was administered on May 5, 2024, had results announced on June 4, with the expectation of results on June 14. It serves as the gateway to MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses in institutions nationwide.
The plea, filed by Shivangi Mishra and others, accused that the paper leaks breached Article 14 of the Constitution, offering undue advantages to some candidates.
