Maharashtra has set a precedent with its transparent and centralized computerized admission process for professional courses, a model now adopted nationwide, a top official announced on Saturday.

Commissioner of the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET), Dilip Sardesai, assured that all student and parent objections were addressed comprehensively. The MHT-CET 2024 entrance exams for engineering, pharmacy, and agriculture were conducted without a hitch, with over 675,000 students participating.

Sardesai emphasized that results were declared using the percentile method with no grace marks, ensuring fairness. He highlighted that objections regarding questions were meticulously reviewed by subject experts, with results posted on the CET cell website. This process, implemented since 2018-19, upholds transparency and equal opportunity for all candidates.
