Students Embark on Educational Space Odyssey

A group of ten students from Bilaspur district began an educational tour of ISRO's Space Application Centre in Ahmedabad. The tour aims to spark interest in space science among rural children. The initiative includes visits to several scientific attractions, including Gujarat Science City and its IMAX 3D theatre.

A group of ten students from Bilaspur district embarked on an educational tour of ISRO's Space Application Centre in Ahmedabad on Monday.

The expedition was flagged off by the state's Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani, with the students' parents and members of district administration in attendance.

This tour follows the inauguration of a Space Lab in Ghumarwin's Boys School in January. The initiative aims to spark interest in space science among children in rural Bilaspur, officials said.

Speaking to the media, Dharmani revealed plans to open similar space labs in four other subdivisions, aiming to draw more rural children towards science and space studies.

Besides the Space Application Centre, the students will visit Gujarat Science City, which features the country's largest space museum, an IMAX 3D theatre, and various other scientific attractions.
