The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has interrogated three students from AIIMS Patna in connection with the NEET-UG paper leak case, officials confirmed on Thursday.
Details about the students' involvement remain undisclosed. Last Tuesday, the agency apprehended Pankaj Kumar alias Aditya, a 2017 civil engineering graduate from NIT Jamshedpur, who purportedly stole the NEET-UG paper from the NTA trunk in Hazaribagh.
Kumar, a Bokaro native, was arrested in Patna. Another suspect, Raju Singh, was detained in Hazaribagh for allegedly aiding Kumar. The CBI is probing various unjust practices in the medical entrance exam, with six FIRs lodged across states, including Bihar, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra, covering paper leaks, candidate impersonation, and cheating.
The NEET-UG, orchestrated by the NTA, facilitates admissions to medical courses. This year's exam on May 5 spanned 4,750 centers in 571 cities, attracting over 23 lakh candidates.
