In a decisive move to enhance early education, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has instructed officials to draft proposals for providing education up to class 3 in Anganwadi centers, emulating play schools. During a meeting, Reddy emphasized the need for recruiting an additional teacher to these centers.
According to a recent official release, he underlined the importance of ensuring that educational facilities are made available to students in their native villages.
Further, Reddy proposed the development of 'semi-residential schools' starting from class 4, parallel to integrated residential schools, including transport facilities for such schools. The proposals are to be piloted in one or two mandals after consultations with education experts.
Additionally, the CM suggested leveraging Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds along with government funds to bolster the infrastructure of state-run schools.
