Six Students Fall Ill After Mid-Day Meal in Balasore

Six students from a government-run primary school in Balasore district fell ill after consuming a mid-day meal. The incident occurred at Banisia UP School under Kedarpur panchayat. The affected students were treated at Soro hospital for symptoms of uneasiness and chest pain.

The affected incident occurred at Banisia UP School, situated within the Kedarpur panchayat of Soro block. Out of the 35 students served, six students from classes 4 and 5 reported uneasiness and chest pain after eating rice with egg curry, an official stated.

Teachers and school committee members swiftly transported the affected children to Soro hospital via ambulance. Following medical treatment, the students were sent back to their homes, confirmed a local resident.
