Three civil services aspirants lost their lives on Saturday evening when a four-wheeler caused sudden flooding at Rau's IAS Study Circle in Delhi. Shreya Yadav, Tanya Soni, and Navin Dalwin drowned as rainwater inundated the building's basement, according to officials and viral video footage.

The incident occurred in Old Rajinder Nagar, central Delhi, as heavy rain led to severe waterlogging. Viral videos show chaotic scenes outside the flooded coaching centre, with students scrambling for safety. Bikes and food carts were seen submerged, while people tried to reach safer places.

Authorities received a distress call around 7 pm about the flooded basement, where several students were present. Preliminary investigations revealed that the basement housed a library. In the aftermath, the owner and coordinator of the coaching centre were arrested by the police.
