Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Monday revealed that nearly 31 lakh central government employees are currently undergoing training under Mission Karmayogi, a comprehensive civil services capacity-building initiative.
While assessing the programme's progress in the presence of Dr R Balasubramanium, Member-HR of the Capacity Building Commission (CBC), Singh stressed the crucial role of Civil Services Training Institutes (CSTIs) in ensuring uniform training quality nationwide.
Envisioned as one of the largest capacity-building drives globally, Mission Karmayogi aims to develop a skilled civil service workforce grounded in Indian values, united in the nation's priorities, and delivering efficient public services.
Singh pointed out that 31 lakh employees across the Government of India are currently part of this mission. The CBC is set to organise a 'Civil Services Training Institutes Convention' on August 12, with Singh as the chief guest. The convention will grant accreditation to around 150 civil service training institutes and distribute certificates to 300 registered institutes.
A major goal of the convention is to advance the digitisation of courses on the Integrated Government Online Training (iGOT) platform and outline future steps for expanding digital training resources. Singh is also set to launch several initiatives, including 'Amrit Gyan Kosh,' a knowledge repository aimed at nurturing shared learning.
