In the aftermath of the tragic deaths of three IAS aspirants at a waterlogged coaching center in Delhi, the Madhya Pradesh government has initiated a series of inspections to ensure the safety of coaching institutes operating in basements.

Shreya Yadav from Uttar Pradesh, Tanya Soni from Telangana, and Navin Dalwin from Kerala lost their lives when the basement of Rau's IAS Study Circle flooded due to heavy rains. Law enforcement has detained seven individuals linked to the incident, including the owner and coordinator of the institute.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has directed officials to inspect all coaching centers in basement facilities for compliance with safety standards. The additional chief secretary, Rajesh Rajoura, emphasized that municipal commissioners are to submit detailed reports on these inspections. Indore officials have also been alerted to potential safety lapses, with demands for thorough investigations and actions against non-compliant centers.
