A devastating flood has left the Government Senior Secondary School in Samej in ruins, with eight students missing and presumed swept away. Distraught students are unsure about their future education and participation in September tournaments.

According to Aditi, a class X student, three members of the school's volleyball and badminton teams are missing, raising concerns about competing in upcoming events. Class IX students Ashwani Kumar and Aman also expressed deep sorrow for their friends Aruti and Arun, who are among the missing.

Physical education teacher Ravinder described the harrowing moment when he heard the deafening sound of the flood and rushed to save the school's chowkidar and one student. Unfortunately, eight students could not be rescued in time. The missing students were well-regarded for their academic and athletic achievements.
