Governor Emphasizes Holistic Education at Arunachal Pradesh Conclave

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik urged stakeholders to focus on students' physical, mental, and moral development at a three-day education conclave. Emphasizing education's role in personal and societal growth, he advocated for the NEP 2020, innovative teacher training, and best practices.

Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K T Parnaik on Thursday emphasized the importance of holistic education, urging all stakeholders to focus on developing students' physical, mental, and moral foundations. He spoke at a three-day ‘chintan shivir-cum-education conclave’, stressing that a strong foundation results in disciplined and inspired individuals, contributing to the state's development from 'Shiksit Arunachal' to 'Viksit Arunachal'.

Parnaik highlighted education's critical role in equipping individuals with necessary knowledge and skills for personal and societal growth. He stated that education awakens joy, curiosity, and a deep desire to positively impact society and pursue leadership roles.

He also called for the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which encourages a holistic curriculum fostering critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Parnaik recommended aligning education with NEP 2020 principles and the state's cultural heritage. He praised efforts by State Education Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona and others for organizing the conclave.
