MoU Signed to Foster Inclusivity in Education Through Indian Sign Language
The Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre (ISLRTC) and the Army Welfare Association Society (AWES) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the accessibility of Indian Sign Language (ISL) in Army Public Schools. The initiative aims to improve the sign language skills of school administrators, teachers, students, and parents, thereby fostering an inclusive educational environment.

In an effort to promote inclusivity and accessibility in education, the Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre (ISLRTC) and the Army Welfare Association Society (AWES) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The agreement, supervised by DEPwD Secretary Rajesh Aggarwal, aims to integrate Indian Sign Language (ISL) into Army Public Schools nationwide.
According to the DEPwD, the MoU is set to revolutionize the educational framework by enhancing the sign language skills of school administrators, teachers, students, and parents. This initiative seeks to create a more accessible and supportive learning environment for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
