Warner Bros Discovery is reportedly contemplating reopening negotiations with competitor Hollywood studio Paramount Skydance. This development comes after Paramount's latest amended offer, according to Bloomberg News sources.
The Warner Bros board is currently evaluating whether Paramount might present a superior deal opportunity. This evaluation follows Paramount's enhancements to its offer last week, which included additional cash payouts for each quarter the transaction remains incomplete after this year.
Additionally, Paramount expressed willingness to cover the breakup fee owed to Netflix by Warner Bros, should the latter withdraw, even though Paramount did not increase its per share bid. Reuters has not independently verified the Bloomberg report.
