Delhi Leads in Teacher Training Abroad: Atishi on Kejriwal's Education Revolution

Delhi Education Minister Atishi lauded the Kejriwal-led government for prioritizing sending principals and teachers abroad for advanced training, standing apart from administrations that focus on ministers and officers.
Speaking at the Delhi State Teachers Awards on Teachers' Day, Atishi cited the 'education revolution' under the Kejriwal government, noting that over 400 principals and teachers have received training at prestigious institutions like Cambridge University. An additional 950 educators have trained at the National Institute of Education in Singapore, and 1,700 teachers have attended IIM Ahmedabad.
Reflecting on her own roots in education, Atishi highlighted her deep personal connection to the teaching profession, as both of her parents were teachers at Delhi University. She stressed the importance of respecting educators, stating that teachers are elevated to the position of gurus and are pivotal in shaping future generations.
