In a groundbreaking effort, the 'Samagra Shiksha Kerala' programme is delivering education to Meenakshi, a 10-year-old bedridden girl from Kerala's Cholanaikkan tribe. By developing 30 audiovisual texts in the tribe's own language, the initiative promises to bring learning to her doorstep.

Following the tragic death of her father in a wild elephant attack, Meenakshi and her family were moved from the forest to a guest house by forest officials. Despite her physical limitations and lack of prior schooling, she is showing positive responses to this personalized educational approach.

This venture is part of a statewide initiative that supports 6,168 home-based learners. Such special efforts underline Kerala's commitment to inclusive education, as supported by state authorities, emphasizing adaptation to tribal dialects and cultural needs in schooling.
