Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized the responsibility of both the Centre and states in ensuring top-quality education for future generations. Speaking on Friday at the National Science Day event 'Vigyan Vaibhav - 2025', organized by DRDO, Singh underlined the collective role of national institutions in preparing youth for global challenges.
Singh highlighted the dynamic changes brought by the New Education Policy, which includes practical learning methods such as fieldwork and research. He echoed Swami Vivekananda's philosophy that the essence of education lies in mind concentration rather than rote memorization.
The minister recalled India's post-independence slow growth and underscored how science has been pivotal to the country's economic and industrial progress, including self-sufficiency in agriculture. Singh encouraged the younger generation to engage in innovation for national development.
