S Somanath to Inspire Graduates at IIM Bangalore's 50th Convocation

Former ISRO Chairman S Somanath will serve as the chief guest at IIM Bangalore's 50th Convocation on March 28. Highlights of the event include an address by Dr Devi Prasad Shetty, the awarding of degrees to PhD and MBA graduates, and recognition of outstanding achievements and research excellence.

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has revealed that S Somanath, former chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), will be the chief guest for its 50th convocation this March 28.

As the event unfolds, Dr Devi Prasad Shetty, who chairs the Board of Governors at IIMB, is expected to deliver a welcoming message. Meanwhile, the institute's director, Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan, will spotlight the various milestones achieved by IIMB over the years.

During the convocation, degrees will be conferred upon students enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and MBA programs. The occasion will also see the distribution of awards, including a special recognition for excellent research by a PhD scholar and gold medals for notable academic performances.
