The Delhi government has announced the opening of applications for admission to the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) in Dehradun, for the term commencing in July 2026. The entrance examination is scheduled for December 7 and will take place in Delhi, as outlined by a recent circular from the Directorate of Education.
The RIMC, a prominent military school located in the Doon Valley, plays a critical role in preparing young students for careers in the Indian armed forces. Eligible candidates must be between the ages of 11-and-a-half and 13 years as of July 1, 2026, meaning they should be born between July 2, 2013, and January 1, 2015. Additionally, they must be studying in Class 7 or have completed this grade from a recognized institution at the time of admission.
Application forms can be obtained via a demand draft of Rs 600, with a reduced fee of Rs 555 for SC/ST candidates, or through an online application form linked in the notification. Completed forms, accompanied by the necessary documentation, should reach the Directorate of Education's examination cell by October 15. The DoE emphasized that only forms bearing RIMC's official hologram will be valid, explicitly stating that photocopied or locally-printed forms will be disqualified.
