An English medium school in Latur has found itself embroiled in controversy as authorities take legal action over violations of the Right to Education (RTE) Act provisions. The case, underscoring the ongoing education challenges, highlights serious accusations against the school's management.
On Thursday, a police case was filed at Shivaji Nagar police station based on a complaint by Hashmi Sayyad Burhan Khwaja, the Zilla Parishad Deputy Education Officer. The school, situated in the Ambajogai Road area, faces multiple charges, including cheating and criminal trespass.
The institution allegedly operates without the necessary government recognition, violating section 18 of the RTE Act. Despite being fined Rs 7 lakh for several offences and sealed twice this year, it continues to operate, defying regulatory efforts.
