In a startling incident, sixteen students from a Thane-based school found themselves stranded in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, after missing their return train following a scouts and guides camp.

Their ordeal in the Uttar Pradesh capital began on Friday, as plans to board a bus failed due to a breakdown.

Following an alert from a concerned parent, NCP MLA Jitendra Awhad and senior leader Manoj Pradhan intervened, securing the students a Mumbai-bound flight, slated for arrival at Mumbai airport on Monday afternoon, according to Awhad's office.
