The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) announced that it will proceed with the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) as planned, ignoring the government and political parties' pleas to postpone the exam due to ongoing controversies over age relaxation.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah criticized the decision, citing travel disruptions and urging the JKPSC to consider fairness for the candidates. Abdullah argued that the examination should be deferred until the issue of age relaxation, which has been granted in the past, is resolved.
The situation has led to a public disagreement between Lok Bhavan and the state government. While Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha maintains that there has been no delay on their part, opposition parties continue to press for postponement in the interest of transparency and candidate welfare.
