Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a significant development for the northeastern region by inaugurating a new Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Guwahati. This move is set to bolster higher education, marking it as the second IIM in the Northeast and the 22nd nationwide.
Simultaneously, Modi inaugurated a state-of-the-art National Data Centre, designed to serve as a critical digital infrastructure hub and a disaster recovery location for other centers in the nation. The facility features robust capacity, ensuring it meets the technological needs of various government departments effectively.
In a strong push towards sustainable public transport, the Prime Minister also flagged off 225 electric buses under the PM-eBus Sewa Scheme, enhancing eco-friendly transit solutions across cities such as Guwahati, Nagpur, Bhavnagar, and Chandigarh.
