Andhra Pradesh Human Resource Minister Nara Lokesh has unveiled plans for a new District Selection Committee (DSC) examination aimed at boosting teacher recruitment in the Kurnool region. The move is part of the state's job calendar initiative, highlighting the government's commitment to addressing developmental disparities in this area.
During a speech in the Assembly, Minister Lokesh emphasized the government's focus on the Kurnool Parliamentary region, citing personal insights from his political walkathon between Adoni and Mantralayam. This initiative aims to create better employment opportunities and attract investments through additional industrial incentives.
Lokesh noted that although more teaching positions were recently sanctioned in Kurnool, the teacher-student ratio remains unfavorable. He also pointed out that the salaries of teachers and data entry operators in Andhra Pradesh under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan program surpass those in all southern states, reflecting the state's investment in education.
