Haryana has made significant strides in promoting inclusive education and ensuring development for individuals with special abilities. On Friday, Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi spearheaded a thorough review of the state’s special education courses and rehabilitation institutions, highlighting their growth and the burgeoning enrollment of over 300 future educators.

The state is steadfast in its commitment to nurturing a skilled workforce capable of supporting and teaching children with special needs. According to Additional Chief Secretary G Anupama, new specialized training modules will be integrated into the B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. curricula. This move aims to sensitize future educators to the challenges and needs of students with special needs.

The review revealed plans to empower existing teachers at District Institute of Education and Training centers. A specially designed curriculum will enable early identification and intervention for conditions such as autism and learning disabilities.
