The Indian Institute of Management Indore conducted the Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) for 2026 on May 4th. The test was held in a single slot from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, spanning numerous test centers across various cities in India. Initial feedback suggests that the exam was more manageable than its predecessor, IPMAT 2025, despite the challenging weather conditions at several centers.

According to Supergrads, a leading IPMAT preparation platform, the test structure remained unchanged, offering a familiar three-section format. The sections, comprising Quantitative Ability (Short Answer and MCQs) and Verbal Ability MCQs, presented varied difficulty levels. While the Quantitative Ability MCQs were lengthier, the Verbal Ability section stood out for its heavy emphasis on vocabulary.

Supergrads predicts that candidates in the General category will need between 180 to 190 marks out of 360 to secure a Personal Interview call from IIM Indore. Experts suggest focusing on the Personal Interview round as it carries significant weight in the final selection. Candidates are encouraged to enhance their profiles and communication skills in preparation for the interviews.
