Protests erupted on Wednesday outside Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's residence as NSUI members demanded his resignation over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak. Demonstrators held placards accusing authorities of compromising national exams, echoing calls for transparency and accountability.

The NEET-UG examination, conducted on May 3, was embroiled in controversy following allegations of a paper leak, sparking an investigation by the Rajasthan Special Operations Group. In response, the National Testing Agency (NTA) cancelled the examination, promising to announce new dates for a retest soon.

NSUI's national president, Vinod Jakhar, criticized the education minister, claiming the leak had jeopardized the aspirations of countless students. The student body called for a Supreme Court-supervised inquiry, restructuring of the NTA, and measures to protect students' mental health, threatening a nationwide movement if demands are unmet.
