A Delhi court has ordered seven days of CBI custody for five individuals involved in the alleged leak of the NEET-UG exam. Special CBI judge Ajay Gupta approved the investigation agency's request to delve deeper into the case to uncover the conspiracy's full scope.
The arrests include Shubham Khairnar, Mangilal Biwal, Vikas Biwal, Dinesh Biwal, and Yash Yadav, suspected of leaking exam questions via WhatsApp and Telegram prior to the May 3 exam by the NTA. The exam was subsequently cancelled on May 12 following confirmation of leaks by Rajasthan's SOG.
The CBI alleges that the accused disseminated the leaked papers through digital channels in exchange for money, targeting NEET aspirants. As the investigation unfolds, the CBI aims to trace financial transactions, identify NTA involvement, and prevent future infractions.
