Manish Sisodia, a senior AAP official and former education minister of Delhi, has openly criticized the CBSE for its handling of the On-Screen Marking system. According to Sisodia, the system has led to significant student distress due to alleged inconsistencies in evaluation.
In a social media post, he described the situation as an 'evaluation scam' and voiced concerns about the negative impact on students' futures. He emphasized that students' hard work is going to waste due to these alleged inaccuracies, causing anxiety among students and their parents.
The criticism comes as the CBSE faces mounting backlash over its digital evaluation process for class 12 board exams, with various claims of errors and inconsistencies. Rahul Gandhi has called for an independent judicial review and a Special Investigation Team probe into the controversy.
In response, CBSE defended its system, describing the OSM as a secure and robust IT platform and denying any reported vulnerabilities or compromises in the evaluation portal.
