The National Testing Agency stated on Friday before the Supreme Court that it plans to shift the NEET-UG exam to a computer-based test (CBT) format from 2027. This move will align NEET-UG with other major exams already conducted in this manner.
This decision follows a recommendation from a high-level committee of experts aiming to address issues highlighted by recent paper leaks. The court is currently hearing petitions relating to the leak that led to the cancellation of the May 3 exam. The transition will involve multi-session and multi-stage testing to enhance the security and fairness of the examination process.
