A fire erupted in an unoccupied train coach stationed at Madgaon Yard in Goa on Friday. Fortunately, the coach was empty, avoiding any casualties.
According to Konkan Railway Corporation Limited's deputy general manager, Baban Ghatge, the blaze was controlled shortly after it started at around 2:50 p.m. Fire and emergency services promptly intervened. The involved coach, typically used for luggage, was separated from other coaches to prevent further damage before responders arrived. An enquiry is underway to investigate the incident's cause and damage extent.
