Shubham Kumar Tops JEE Advanced 2026 as Over 56,000 Qualify

Shubham Kumar from IIT Delhi zone emerged as the top candidate in the JEE Advanced 2026, with more than 56,000 students clearing the challenging exam. Among the successful candidates, over 10,000 were female, and the exam witnessed participation from nearly 1.8 lakh students.

This year, a total of 56,880 students successfully passed the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2026, recognized as one of India's most challenging entrance tests. The results, which were announced on Monday, highlighted the intense competition among nearly 1.8 lakh participants.

Shubham Kumar, representing the IIT Delhi zone, achieved the top position in the Common Rank List (CRL) by scoring an impressive 330 out of 360 marks. The highest-ranked female candidate, Arohi Deshpande, also from the IIT Delhi zone, secured an All India Rank of 77 with a score of 280. Second place was claimed by Kabeer Chhillar with 329 marks, followed closely by Jatin Chahar, who scored 319. Shubham Kumar expressed his joy at attaining the top rank, reflecting on two years of dedicated preparation.
