Hansika Shukla, Karishma Arora top CBSE Class 12 exams; Girls top for 5th consecutive year
Hansika Shukla and Karishma Arora have topped the CBSE Class 12 exams scoring 499 marks each.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the results for the Class 12 examination on Thursday. "The results are available on the board's website and students can check it using their admit card IDs," a senior official said.
The results have been announced within 28 days of the last date of the examination. The Class 12 examination began on February 16, earlier than previous years. The results, which is usually announced by the third week of May, is also being announced earlier than scheduled.

Around 13 lakh students appeared for the examination.
In 2018 as well, girls had outshined boys with Meghana Srivastava coming out on top, scoring 499 marks. Meghna Srivastava scored 100 in History, Geography, Psychology, Economics and 99 in English core.
In 2017, Raksha Gopal had topped the exams with 99.6 per cent marks.
In 2016, Sukriti Gupta had topped scoring 497 marks out of 500.
In 2015, M Gayatri had topped scoring 99.20 per cent marks.
However, in 2014, a boy from Delhi, Sarthak Agarwal, came out on top scoring 99.6 per cent marks.
