EWS students shine in Karnataka PUC Results 2018-19

Abhyudaya, a civil society organisation is engaged in sustained efforts to ensure better education for socially and economically deprived children in the state.

Sathyashree lives in a small house at Yadalam Nagar in Bangalore. Her mother works in housekeeping. After the death of her father due to a heart attack she had lost the hope to continue her education. She has scored 95% in Commerce in the Karnataka PUC examination results and now dreams to become a chartered accountant.

Her hard work and dedication have given a wing to her dreams. She is getting Vidyanidhi scholarship from Abhyudaya besides she also had taken coaching during SSLC at Abhyudaya. She studies in BNM college. Sathyashree is not the standalone case, Abhyudaya has helped many socially and economically weaker girl students to achieve their dreams in life by providing them Vidyanidhi scholarships and also coaching facilities. 

Shravani reddy from Uttarahalli scored 95% in commerce. Her father works as Auto driver and mother works as a tailor. She also wants to be a charted accountant. She studied in Dayananda Sagar college. 

Tejaswini scored 87% she is from science stream and 97% in PCM. Her parents work as labourers in Subramanyapura. The stay in Yadalam nagara. She had attended SSLC coaching at Abhyudaya in 2016. She is studying in Jyothi college and receiving Abhyudaya Vidyanidhi scholarship.

Divya scored 83% in science stream. She lost her father due to an accident. Her mother works as a labourer. She had attended SSLC coaching previously. She is receiving Abhyudaya Vidyanidhi scholarship.

Devraj has scored 85% in commerce. He and his mother stay in Uttarahalli. He lost his father a few years back.  He is receiving Abhyudaya Vidyanidhi scholarship. He had attended SSLC coaching previously. He wants to be a Charted Accountant. He studied at BNM College.

Satisha scored 87% in science stream. He lost his father a few years back.  He is receiving Abhyudaya Vidyanidhi scholarship. He had attended SSLC coaching previously. He lives with mother and grandmother in kateramma colony. He volunteers to teach on weekends.  He studied in Kumarans. He wants to take up NDA and join armed forces.

Manjula scored 91% in commerce. She had attended SSLC and PUC free coaching at Abhyudaya. Father is Auto driver and Mother is a housemaid. She wants to be an officer in Bank. She studied at Sadhana College.

Stories of hard work and their success is an inspiration to many more socially deprived children but the contribution of Abhyudaya is also praiseworthy. Abhyudaya has its own list of performers in this PUC exam. Some are from the Vidyanidhi category and some from free coaching class category. Abhyudaya provides scholarship or Vidyanidhi to deserving students who cannot afford to pay their fees. Abhyudaya Vidyanidhi program has supported 332 PUC  students this year directly apart from supporting students with the help of other organisations.
