NEET 2019 exam to be postponed in Bengal? Students strongly reiterate demand

Students from West Bengal are demanding that NEET 2019 should also be postponed for them after NTA announced that the exam has been postponed in Odisha as the state recovers from the destruction caused by Cyclone Fani.
R. Subrahmanyam, Higher Education Secretary, has confirmed the development regarding postponement of NEET in Odisha and has said that the revised dates will be announced soon.

Following the development, students from Bengal, who were already demanding postponement, reiterated their demands.
@MamataOfficial many parts of Bengal have also been affected due to Cyclone Fani. Just like the Odisha govt did, we request you to ask thr central govt to postpone NEET in Bengal too.

Please postpone #NEET for the entire country.Please have some respect about 'one nation one exam' tag line y'all have been using since the beginning.Have a thought about the NEET aspirants of West Bengal, Andhra and Assam too, we cannot practically reach the exam centre.

The exam was earlier scheduled for May 5, over 15.19 lakh candidates were earlier expected to appear in the exam. NTA conducts NEET every year for students aspriring to get admissions into undergraduate medical courses.
