NEET 2019 Hampi Express incident: Re-exam for Karnataka students who missed exam

Karnataka students who missed NEET 2019 exam due to train delay will get another chance, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar has confirmed. Hundreds of students, who were travelling from Hampi Express to reach their examination centre for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), had missed their exam as the train got delayed by six hours. 

The announcement comes just hours after Education Secretary, R. Subrahmanyam, announced revised dates for NEET 2019 exam in Odisha.

The 16591- Hampi Express en route Bengaluru had reached the city at 2.30 pm due to which hundreds of candidates could not appear in the exam.

Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had tweeted in support of students saying, "Mr. @narendramodi, You pat your own back for others' achievements but will you also take the responsibility for your cabinet min' incapabilities. Hundreds of students in Karnataka may not be able to take up NEET because of delay in the train services".
