ICFAI University Jharkhand organized FinTech Conclave

A conclave on Financial Technologies (FinTech) was organized at ICFAI University, Jharkhand campus. Atul Kumar Agrawal, CMD, Shubham Construction, Rohit Tripathy, Founder, Ranchi Mall, Shailendra Pratap Singh, Jharkhand Livehood Mission and Rajiv Gupta, TEDx Speaker were the guests of honor.

Welcoming the audience, Prof. ORS Rao, Vice-Chancellor of ICFAI University Jharkhand highlighted that India has the highest adoption of FinTech in the world and boasts of the second-largest number of FinTech start-ups in the world. He also suggested participants to build skills on FinTech, as it offers excellent potential for placement and entrepreneurship.

Atul Kumar Agrawal explained the role of Block-Chain Technology in investment in resorts. He said that the first application in the world was by Ranchi Mall for booking resorts in Indonesia. Shailendra Pratap Singh highlighted how FinTech can help in digitization of the rural economy, which can benefit the rural people, immensely, Rohit Tripathy, Founder of Ranchi Mall explained the evolution of FinTech from the days of ATM's and termed Block-Chain Technology as revolutionary and game-changer. Rajiv Gupta, a TEDx Speaker explained the career and Entrepreneurship opportunities in FinTech and the skills that the students should develop to be successful.

Dr. Taraknath Paul, Asst. Professor of IUJ presented how FinTech can be used for stock forecasting. Students from various colleges/universities also made presentations on various aspects of FINTECH, which include FinTech Trends, Adoption of Digital Payments, FASTag, Algorithm Trading, and career opportunities.
